POMS India Chapter is a vibrant network of academicians and professionals in the POM discipline in India. The theme for POMS India International Conference 2024 is “Reimagining future of Operations for Resilience and Sustainability in a Digital World”. Against the backdrop of unprecedented technological innovation and pressing environmental concerns, the conference seeks to explore how organizations can harness the power of digitalization to enhance resilience and sustainability of their operations. This conference is crucial to fostering collaboration among global production and operations management scholars. **International Participants are expected to submit as soon as possible so that if selected visa and other regulatory processes can be carried out in due time.


The abstract should be submitted through the online submission form by 15th July 2024. The main text of the abstract should cover the purpose, design/methodology/approach, findings, and relevance/contribution to research and practice. This should be organised into separate sections, each with a bold heading.

File Format: Please submit your abstract as a word document.

Word Limit: Ensure that the total number of words does not exceed 1000.

Text Formatting:

– Font Size: Use font size 12 for the entire document.

– Paragraph Indentation: The first paragraph of each section and subsection should not be indented.

The Conference will be organized at the beautiful campus of Indian Institute of Management Ranchi.
Limited accommodation will be available inside IIM Ranchi for the conference participants and doctoral students on a  “first come, first served” basis. Ranchi is the capital of the Indian state of Jharkhand. Jharkhand state was formed on 15 November 2000 by carving out the Bihar divisions of Chota Nagpur and Santhal Parganas. Ranchi has been selected as one of the hundred Indian cities to be developed as a smart city under PM Narendra Modi’s flagship Smart Cities Mission. Ranchi is also one of the oldest cities in Jharkhand. Ranchi is also nicknamed the city of waterfalls which includes Dassam falls, Hundru falls, Jonha falls, Sita falls. Other popular tourist destinations are Bhagwan Birsa biological park, Getalsud dam, Gossner Evangelical Lutheran church, Jagannath temple, Kanke dam, Rock garden, Nakshatra Van Pahari Mandir, Patratu valley, Ranchi science centre Ratu palace, Ranchi state museum, State art museum, St.Mary’s Cathedral  and Tagore hill.
